> Recorded in spring 1999 at Amber Studios (ex Michele’s practice-room), Asti. Sound engineer: Michele Delemont.

The 5 songs here had been basically written for our “Misantropo a senso unico” album, thru the rough versions on this 7″ we wanted to give a sort of preview on the upcoming full-lenght’s style. The whole thing was mainly an experiment, since we chose to record it in Michele’s practice room using the same skills that characterized our early ’90s works (all recorded there). Meanwhile, Michele had turned the place into a semi-professional studio with a 8 track digital recorder and a ways better equipment. Both guitar and bass went directly into the mixer with no use of amps, just as we did on works like “Life’s built on thoughts” + others. The final result was a mega-raw barrier of filthiness and distortion, with that “what the fuck?” feel peculiar to those early singles. Rhetoric Records was at its last output before quitting and then resurrecting in the scene (2 years later) as “First blood family”. A huge mistake in the printing of the record was the cover jacket: having no idea that Europe has a different system of doing the printing films, the films we sent (that were made correctly for the Eu standard) ended with the EP cover printed in negative; here we are including both the correct art and the final result as it came out, so you can understand. Bad luck!
